# Docs MCP server

> The Opencals developer docs are available as an MCP server at opencals.com/docs/mcp, with search and read tools for Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients.

**October 25, 2026**

## Search the docs from your coding agent

The developer docs now run as an MCP server at `https://opencals.com/docs/mcp`.
Connect it to Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client that supports remote
servers, and your agent can search the docs and read full pages, including the
OpenAPI spec, while it writes code. It needs no API key.

Two read-only tools:

* **`search_opencals_developer_docs`** returns matching passages with links.
* **`query_docs_filesystem_opencals_developer_docs`** reads full pages with
  `cat`, `head` or `grep`.

Add it in Claude Code:

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light","dark":"github-dark-default"}}
claude mcp add --transport http opencals-docs https://opencals.com/docs/mcp
```

Setup for Cursor and other clients is on the
[AI Agents overview](https://opencals.com/docs/ai-agents/overview.md#docs-mcp-server). The server covers
documentation only; store data and bookings go through the
[Storefront API](https://opencals.com/docs/api-reference/introduction.md).
