One engineer, in Warsaw, building a booking infrastructure
Opencals is not a faceless SaaS brand. It is a product built and run by one named person, from one place, with public profiles you can check before you trust it with your bookings.

I build Opencals on my own. There is no growth team behind this page: the NestJS services that run availability, the Next.js dashboard, the Shopify app, the public API and the site you are reading were all written by me.
Before Opencals I spent my career in product engineering, most recently as a senior engineer and tech lead at ReturnGo, an e-commerce returns platform, through to its acquisition by Global-e. The idea came from watching what service businesses were being handed instead: calendar tools that are over-engineered in the places nobody cares about and thin everywhere it matters. A generic booking page you cannot really change, a handful of settings, and features that either miss how the business actually runs or quietly break once it grows past one person in one location.
Service businesses are more inventive than that. A studio that rents rooms by the hour and also sells a six-week course. A clinic with four practitioners across two locations, with different rules at each. A rental shop with deposits and damage policies. None of them fit the shape of a generic scheduling page. They need a booking page that carries their brand rather than their vendor's, and software that bends around the way they already work instead of asking them to drop the parts that do not fit.
So Opencals is booking infrastructure for any service business, in any industry: every appointment is a real order with a payment and an invoice behind it. Shopify for services. And like Shopify, it is meant to be built on. The Storefront API is public and documented, the TypeScript SDK is on npm, and the Next.js storefront templates are MIT-licensed on GitHub, so developers and agencies can ship a fully custom booking site for a client on top of the same infrastructure instead of writing availability logic from scratch.

The company
Who you are actually dealing with
Opencals is currently run by its founder as a sole proprietorship in Warsaw, Poland — not yet a limited company. Incorporation is planned as the business grows, and this page will say so when it happens.
That is deliberate at this stage, and we would rather say it than dress it up. Opencals is self-funded and early, which means decisions are made by one person who can be reached by email, and there is no pivot or shutdown hiding behind a marketing page.
If you need something in writing for procurement, compliance or a partner review — data processing terms, hosting locations, uptime history — write to stan@opencals.com and you will get a real answer from the founder.

How Opencals operates
The things people ask before trusting a small vendor
Where your data lives
Opencals runs on AWS in EU regions. Customer and booking data is stored in the EU, processed under GDPR, and never sold or shared with advertisers.
How payments work
Payments are processed by Stripe. Opencals never stores or handles raw card details — card data goes straight to Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.
What you pay
Pricing is published in full on the pricing page. The pay-as-you-go plan charges per completed booking, so a quiet month costs nothing. No setup fees, no sales call required.
Who answers support
Support email goes to the founder. There is no ticket queue between you and the person who wrote the code. Write to support@opencals.com and expect a reply within one business day.
What is open, and what is not
The storefront templates and the TypeScript SDK are MIT-licensed and public on GitHub. The booking engine and dashboard are closed-source and hosted by us. We state that plainly rather than calling the product open source.
Current stage
Opencals is an early-stage, self-funded product with real businesses running on it and an active public roadmap. It is not a venture-backed company with a large team, and this site does not pretend otherwise.
