One confirmation email per order

When a customer books several appointments in one checkout, they now get one Order Confirmation email instead of one email per appointment. It lists every appointment on the order with its time, staff member, location and add-ons. Each appointment has its own View, Cancel and Reschedule links and its own calendar file (.ics). The email ends with the order number and total. This applies to every order, whether it comes from a storefront or template checkout, a Shopify order or an order created in the dashboard.
  • Merchants with admin notifications on get one “Order confirmed” email per order.
  • Staff members still get one email per appointment assigned to them.
  • Guests still get one invitation per appointment.
  • Reschedule, cancellation, reminder and feedback emails are unchanged and stay per appointment.

Appointment Confirmation is deprecated

The per-appointment Appointment Confirmation template is replaced by Order Confirmation. Stores that customised it keep it for orders with a single appointment, and the dashboard shows it with a “Deprecated” badge. Restoring its default switches the store to Order Confirmation. Stores that never customised it don’t see it.

What to change

Nothing. The Storefront API and SDK are unchanged. Customise the new template under Look & feel → Emails → Order Confirmation.
