How to Add Zoom Links to Online Bookings Automatically in Opencals
Opencals treats Zoom as a location integration: instead of pointing an online appointment at one static meeting room, you attach Zoom to an online location and Opencals generates a fresh, unique Zoom meeting link for every single booking. This guide covers the whole flow — creating the integration, completing the OAuth connection, enabling it, and wiring it to an online location so links appear automatically.
Connect Zoom once under Integrations, then attach it to any Online location. From then on, every booking made against that location gets its own unique Zoom meeting link, generated at booking time — you never create or paste a link by hand.
Before you start
You'll need admin access to your Opencals dashboard and a Zoom account you can authorize. You'll also want at least one Online location (or be ready to create one), since Zoom links are generated per booking against online locations.
Step 1 — Create the Zoom integration
Open Integrations from the dashboard. Under Available you'll see every provider you can add. Find Zoom and click Create. This adds the integration to your Connected list in a not-yet-authorized state, ready for the OAuth step.

Zoom is a location integration — it powers online appointment locations rather than your calendar or payments. Google Meet works the same way, so you can offer both and pick per location.
Step 2 — Connect your Zoom account
The new integration starts with a Not connected status. Open it and click Connect: Opencals opens a secure Zoom authorization window. Approve access there, then return to the dashboard — it auto-refreshes every few seconds and flips the status to Connected on its own once Zoom confirms.

Until you finish authorizing, the integration shows Not connected and waits. Once Zoom confirms, it becomes Connected. If a connection ever stops working, open the integration and reconnect it the same way — the flow is identical.
Step 3 — Enable it and set an internal name
With the integration Connected, click Set up to open its settings. Turn the Status switch on to mark it Enabled, then give it an Internal name — a private label so you can tell integrations apart (for example, "Zoom — online consultations"). Click Save.
Zoom
The internal name is only ever shown to you inside the dashboard. Customers never see it — they just receive their meeting link. Only an Enabled integration will generate links, so make sure the switch is on.
Step 4 — Attach Zoom to an online location
This is where the automation happens. Edit a location, set its Location type to Online, then add your Zoom integration under Integrations. The location's Link field is filled in per booking by Zoom — you don't paste a static room URL.

Once Zoom is attached to an online location, every appointment booked against that location gets its own unique meeting link, generated at the time of booking and included with the appointment. Assign the same integration to as many online locations as you like.

Because the link is generated per appointment, two customers who book back-to-back get separate Zoom meetings — no one ever joins the wrong call, and there's no shared room to clean up between sessions.
